MORE pictures from Ant-Man's party!

Thank you MELANIE for sending me these pictures from Anthony's party! There were so many cameras flashing, that it's good to see what other cameras caught!
Look at HIS FACE when he saw his mom!Anthony and his momma!
We were all so relieved to see Austin walk in to see Anthony. I was worried that because of his seizure, that he would sleep the whole time and miss the party that he was so excited for!In the background, I can see MELISSA and part of DON! That's the only picture I have of them.Kathy, we really did enjoy this SCRUMPTIOUS CAKE! We still talk about it! Anthony STILL can not stop talking about it! And don't you know I so use that surprise party to my advantage! HA HA HA!!! Just go ahead and hand me my award now..."Wife of the year!" JUST PLAYING!!!!! Tune in tomorrow for the "Slumber Party" post! FOR SURE this time!

A quick visit

Not that we want anyone to get sick and need to visit or stay at the hospital, but if there's a need, we're so thankful to be so close and have access to the awesome Medical Center and be here to help in any way! On Tuesday and Wednesday, Anthony's Grandpa (he has Renal Cancer)had some appointments, so Anthony's Aunts, Linda, Sally, and Rachel brought him to Houston. Anthony met up with them (Or rescued them? There were some navigation issues-ha ha!!) and hung out. Later that night, they headed to Casa de Ramirez and stayed the night! The next day, the kids headed to school, Anthony and I headed to work, and the Aunts headed to the grocery store...THANK YOU GIRLS!!! Then they made their way to the rest of Grandpa's appointments. We were SO excited that they stayed with us! It was a quick visit, but a nice time!

TV

As I sit here in my house on lock down...Without going into detail, ARMED GUNMAN ON THE LOOSE! Scary stuff! So, since I'm a little scared, and can't go do my grocery shopping, I could clean the house, but instead I've played with Carli, uploaded pictures from my camera (a few posts to come), and watched TV...I so enjoy TV. There are lots of shows I like, some dumber than others, and maybe I'll do a post about them another day, but here are my more important shows: Last night, this was so good! I especially like looking at Rob Lowe...Even ANTHONY says he's a good looking guy-that's his "man crush"! Ha ha!!
This is starting to get good, now that they have their Top 13! But did they need to just up and change the rules and add a 13th to the top? Oh well!
And tonight, it begins! YES! I'm excited! I think it'll be good. But now Jewel is out, with Holly replacing her, and then I just heard that as of Friday, Nancy is out, with rumors of Melissa from The Bachelor replacing her. Hmmm...we shall see!
What are your favorite shows?

Rodeo Round-up

It's that time of year again in town...

If you're not from here, it'll be hard to understand just what a huge deal this is!
Every year, the BBQ cook off teams each sponsor Junior High and Highschool Life Skills Classes from Houston and surrounding towns. (I wish I knew an exact number- there are hundreds of teams!) This means that they provide a lunch for them. They also get to have a sneak peak of the Livestock show and Rodeo. Wednesday was actually the opening day. Austin's class went last Friday, for his third year. His best friend's family has a team and they have sponsored their class every year. They even have a dance for them. I've always gone with is class, but this year I had to work. But he had a blast as usual! His favorite I think were the rodeo clowns. He had his face painted with a spider. Here he's acting like Spiderman!

Look at all the loot!
And of course this means that pretty soon we'll all be heading out there.

SURPRISE!!!

After almost two months of secret planning, the day finally arrived! Anthony's SURPRISE Birthday Party! I did get a little stressed the day before but by night fall, I realized everything was pretty much in place for the next day. Friday night, Anthony went and got his cousin Penelope (I think he thought that she was coming to babysit the kids while we went out). That worked out great, because she was a huge help Friday night when we did our secret last minute shopping and the morning of. Saturday morning got off to a rocky start, when back in Bryan, Anthony's Grandpa was taken to the ER. He was released a couple of hours later. Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Rachel decided to stay behind, while some of the other Ramirez troop loaded up and headed south. Thankfully, Anthony's employees had help out too by making sure he needed to work that morning. This gave me time to set up, get the pizzas and cake, and give everyone a chance to get into town. He was to arrive home around 1:30pm. We were all ready for him.The wreath on our door with pictures of the Ant-Man!Pizzas, chips, sodas, and THE CAKE (OH HEAVENS, the CAKE! YUMMY! YUMMY! PERFECT! I could go on for days about this cake!) was all ready!
Lots of family were all ready and waiting! Waiting, waiting...I did say he was to arrive around 1:30, right? Well, in true Ant fashion, he comes strollin' in after 2pm! He had a Kohl's gift card and wanted to go use it, so he stopped for a quick shopping trip! He finally came home!!!! HE HAD NOOOO CLUE what was planned for him! Can you tell he LOVES the Dallas Cowboys?!Who's this? Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders? NO, they all said that they were Jessica Simpson, Carrie Underwood, and for some reason, Britney and Paris! BUT, these are Anthony's aunts and mom: L to R- Cuca, Mary(his mom), Sally, Linda.Cousin Monique and his mom.Do you think Mary likes to take pictures? Ha!Sally and her grandson, Philip.Philip, Gabby, Rachel, Arlyssa, and Carli. We all had a great time! We ate, laughed, cried. The kids ran in and out of the house. We had a little upset when Austin had a seizure while we were waiting for Ant to come home, but thank God, he was able to sleep some and then join the party! We think he was just too excited about the day! Most everyone headed back a little early, because Grandpa ended up going back to the ER (he's home nowand doing good).
Anthony would like to thank everyone who came! He still can't believe we did this!
We missed those of you who couldn't come!
I want to thank everyone for your help! Penelope, big thanks to you!
Joni, thank you for my pictures and your help! Famliy, I am hoping to get some more pictures of everyone that was there. HINT HINT!
Again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY My Love!

Stay tuned for my next post, "Slumber Party! The Morales and Martinez crew stay over!"

Our Anniversary and Anthony's Birthday Dinner

You all know that on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, was 15 years of marriage for us and 36 years of life for Anthony! So, Anthony and I, AND our KIDS, went out to celebrate! We were looking forward to a big ol' steak dinner!
Tyler took these pictures of us.
After our dinner, it was time for some dessert... We all shared this large piece of chocolate cake! MMMM!!!!
Right before the dessert came, our waitress brought me this purdy lil' box!
I really needed a watch and hadn't had one in years! I LOOOVVE IT!!!!
I gave Anthony a pair of James Avery cuff links and we will have his monogram engraved on them. Not sure why I don't have a picture of them?
We kept looking around the table at Austin, Tyler, and Carli, just shaking our heads...This is our life, our miracles, US-our love created them! It was so awesome to celebrate our marriage with our favorite favorite favorite people!
I tried to get all of the kids to take a picture with dear old dad, but the oldest and the youngest would not cooperate.
It was a wonderful day and we thank everyone for all the well wishes! We are truly blessed!
