Memory Lane

You know I love pictures, especially taking a stroll down memory lane!
Last night I was sitting here thinking 'bout my bestie and somehow thought about this picture! So I had to of course post it! 1995. Deyanira with Sam and I with Austin! Our very first babies! They had just each turned one. We were at the re-grand opening of Wal*Mart. We always laughed at how Sam looked liked he belonged to me and Austin belonged to her.
Always great times! I love you Deyanira!

Hi Ho Hi Ho It's off to work I go...

So, two days after the boys went back to school, it was my time to return I'm still at the Mother's Day Out program I've always been at. I'll be back in my old room, the younger 3's, two days a week. ROSE will be co-teaching with me and I can not wait! School doesn't start until after Labor Day, so these days are filled with meetings, trainings, and getting our rooms all cute!
Pictures coming soon...PROMISE!

Back to school update

I believe this is going to be a great year for the boys! I feel it in my bones! Now, I know it's only been four days, and they don't spring out of bed like they did on the first morning, but I can tell they are really liking it! That first day of school, at dinner time, they talked our ears off! The above picture is from yesterday's practice. I have no idea where in that group Tyler is? Even though there were several groups out there, I did know he was in red and with the smaller guys, so he's in there somewhere. I just had to grab a picture! I have to tell you it's so weird seeing him out there! Anthony and I remember when we moved here over seven years ago and passing this school. It was across the street from our then neighborhood. It was just finished being built and when the school year started, we would see a sea of red and black shirts out there practicing football. We could have never fathomed one of our own little boys being that old to be out there! Sure enough, our baby boy is!
This year is a whole new ball game for Tyler, no pun intended. Ha!
Junior High, 7 teachers, 4 of them are men, two of those are his coaches. His classes are all over the school. He has a friend (or few) in every class (or a few classes). My friend's sister is one of his teachers and that class, along with his locker, is across the hall from Austin's Life Skills Class. He stays after school until 5:45pm for football practice. See, so far, so good! Austin is glad to be back with his same class. He was needing that routine too. He has jobs at school, so he is enjoying starting those back too. One day I'm going to do a post about all of the things he does at school. I love the special education program and his teachers! Yesterday afternoon, his teacher told me that he is really impressed with Austin. He went on and on about the differences in him. "He came back a completely different kid". "Like he's grown mentally". No behavior problems, does more things. So far his back to school assessments have proven that he didn't regress too much over the summer. And his response time isn't near as long as it was before. He told Austin to keep it up and he'll be on his way to the high school! When they came home from school on the first day, they had cupcakes waiting! Carli was so excited while she was helping me make them. She couldn't wait to give them to her "guys"!Carli misses them so much while they're at school. She does a lot of this-building!
And I wanted to throw this is in.... The other week, Anthony's little cousins, Joel and Jestin, came to stay three nights. I think they had fun! I wanted so badly to re-create this photo below, but I think they thought they were too grown!:)1998- Jestin, Tyler, Joel, Austin. Awww, so so so so CUTE!!!!

Now that they're at school, it's time for Anthony and I are off to have our 11th annual back to school breakfast date! Along with our baby girl of course. She won't start pre-school for a couple of weeks.

Tomorrow is the day!

BACK TO SCHOOL! Are we ready? I guess so! Regardless, it's time!
The summer has gone by too fast, as usual! We had a busy and fun summer, along with some pretty hard times! This past week we were in Bryan with family. We laid our Grandpa to rest yesterday. We got back late last night. Today, we're getting organized, doing laundry, and grocery shopping. This momma is tired! Hopefully tonight the guys will go to bed at a decent hour and get a good night's rest! There's not been one night all summer that we've had a decent bed time or any type of a routine for that matter. I've got a camera full of summer time pics that I should be posting soon.
So, my thoughts on tomorrow...hard to believe that TYLER, my BABY BOY, is starting the 7th GRADE! JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL! WOW! Unbelievable!!! Our junior high schools are 7th and 8th grades. As I told you before, Austin will be staying in the Special Education program at the Junior High School one more year. They had to go before the board and get permission to hold him another year, actually, his second year to be held, since he's already 16. We definitely feel like this is the right choice! It'll be the exact same kids in his class as last year. There's only six and they're all boys! The high school's special ed. program is much larger and they're more independent. They're allowed to be in school until they're 23, so what's the rush! We LOVE where he's at right now! It's very strange having the boys at the same school again! They haven't been together since Tyler was in kinder and Austin in 4th grade. Not sure how Tyler is going to feel about it? He's already been up there a few times and was shocked that so many knew Austin, which means they're now going to know HIM! Austin has told us several times that he "can't wait for Ty to come to his school" and he "hopes Ty doesn't embarrass him!" Isn't that funny! Tune in tomorrow for first day of school pics!

BIRTHDAYS!!

Ladies first...especially since her's is a belated one! On TUESDAY, it was my sister in law, KAYCE's BIRTHDAY! I did tell her "Happy Birthday" that day, I just wasn't able to do her post. We've been and still are in Bryan right now.
Kayce, We hope you had an amazing birthday and we love you sis!(Kayce and I)
TODAY is my brother in law, Chris's birthday! I like to claim him as my other child, seeing as though he's only four years older than Austin. This boy was constantly with us. Always stayed the night with us and went on vacations! When we moved out of town, we even tried to bring him with us! Even when he comes to visit, we still try to get him to stay! No such luck!
Christopher, you are 20 years old today...man! Can't believe it?! We love you so much! Although it's a bitter sweet day, it's still your BIRTHDAY! Happy Birthday Brother!(1999-Austin, Chris, and Tyler.)

Donating to Science

The other day I mentioned to you about signing the boys into a National Medical Study. Basically, it's studying the DNA of siblings who have or had seizures. You can read about it by clicking here. Monday they went for their lab work and received their gift cards! We told them how proud we were of them for what they were doing. They, being a true pre-teen and teenager were really only concerned about the money! Ha!

One Fish, Two Fish, Three Fish...

Red Fish, Yellow Fish, Blue Fish. Well, you know when you do for one kid, ya gotta do for the other, or in this case, otherS! When we went to get Sparkles some new rocks, the boys each got a fish too. SO, we now have Tyler's fish, Leslie. Austin's fish, Mr. Fins. You can see that Sparkles not only got new rocks, she got new decor and a new home! Can you tell what the decor is? A CROWN! Surprised? The boys picked out their homes and decor too for theirs. Tyler's has red rocks and a turtle. Austin's has blue rocks and a penguin. You think this will hold 'em off for a while asking for a dog?

Crafty girl

Carli is very very in to making things. Everyday all day long!
She loves play dough.
She loves Lego's and blocks...oh you should see the things she makes. I'm not sure why I didn't put a picture on here of her buildings, I will soon. My house has buildings/houses/castles everywhere. Remember her box?
Painting, another fave! Drawing, coloring, cutting, and gluing, yep, another favorite! She'll color and cut stuff out of anything. Doesn't have to be paper. Lately I caught her using paper bowls and paper plates, and then a plastic cup. The times where I haven't given her the glue to use, she has used (on many times) her CHAP STICK and it works! She's been sticking her crafts on her bedroom door with it too!
This would be a picture of "Ruby and Max. Max is playing with his robot".
She got this jewelry making kit for her birthday. LOVES it too!
More posts coming soon. We've been busy squeezing the last bit of summer out!

Some pics of Miss. Carli

Found some pictures of Carli on my camera. The first one is from Deyanira. She took it the other weekend. The last two I think might be from our vacation. Hard to tell, she wears that pink heart dress every single day! :) It's her absolute fave!
