Who was on duty?

Saturday I was out running errands and Anthony was at home with the kids. When I came home, Carli didn't come running to me. In fact, it was kind of quiet. Anthony said she was with Tyler. I open Tyler's bedroom door to find this: Baby sister asleep in her big brother's lap! AWWW!!!
Wait a minute...who was on duty here, Dad or Tyler?

Welcome Gift

Last night, there was a knock at the door...it was our neighbor from two doors down. She had been waiting until she saw a time when there was two cars home, so she could come by. And look what she brought! The card was cute! She obviously stamped it. It has written on it," A Belated Welcome to the Neighborhood!" and it has their last name, along with the names of her, her husband, each child, their address, and phone number (all of that I blurred out). Told you, cute! So delicious too!

Girls' Night Out!

Last Wednesday, my Girls' Night Out consisted of going to seeCarli and I were picked up by Lindsay and Olivia and we were all pretty excited!!!! These were all taken as we waited for them to pick us up. Carli was so hyper and could not wait! Me either!!And, yes, I took a gazillion pictures, even video! BUT, alot of the pictures didn't turn out so good. I guess lighting or just all the excitement and trying to take pictures at the same time! The videos all turned out, but you know it takes a while to upload video onto Blogger. We'll save those for another day.
We had really great seats! Really great seats! I had to say it twice!! Carli and Olivia loved it! There were about three scenes at the very beginning that were a little spooky (I know, hard to believe, but true!), which ended up being a good time to grab our drinks, food, and toys. Once that part was done, it was on to the dancing, singing, and waving! This is not a very good pic, but this Mickey was the start of the dancing brooms and scary music. I do have a picture of the brooms, but not on this post. Followed by a scene from the Pumpkin King! Yeah, no pumpkin there, just skeleton head on a man, zombies, spider webs, smoke, you get the picture! NOT what two, three year old little girls want to see!
Ahhh, much better...ALL of the Princesses and their Princes! We saw pretty much every character I believe. Toy Story was probably my favorite. Carli' was the above.
A little Lilo and Stitch...thought about my brother, sister in law, and niece during this scene! They live in Hawaii.Wished I could've shared all of the pictures! It was a wonderful memory! My first big show with my little girl. Seeing it through her eyes...amazing! The joy she had was priceless! Thank you Lindsay and Olivia for a terrific, wild, long, girls' night out!

Baking

Ah, you thought this would be the post with my house pictures! Sorry...I've got to catch up with some other picture posts firsts. THEN, I will start posting about the house. Probably in a couple of days. I will say, the the two things I wanted to do before I posted house pictures were, to get my kitchen table and change out my kitchen chandelier. I have done that!
Anyway, I never got to post about my Easter gift from my Secret Prayer Pal at work. She gave me this bucket of goodies to bake cupcakes, and bake we did! My girl loves to help in the kitchen! It's always a lot of fun!I totally gave her free reign over the decorating.
You'll notice no m&m's though. They didn't quite make it to the cupcakes. We ate them all by themselves! They were so yummy!
Thank you Secret Prayer Pal!

Weekend wrap up

We had a nice, lazy weekend. We worked on some house projects. PICTURES ARE COMING SOON! I'm just still working on getting it all (sort of) picture ready. Especially since I have no kitchen table. I put our existing table in the dining room and have been on the hunt for a table to go in the kitchen. Anyway, we also had our cousin Penelope stay with us this weekend. She even went kitchen table shopping with me on Saturday. On Sunday, Tyler had to acolyte at the 8am service and then we went out to eat. You know we LOVE to eat! So, to get our grub on, we went here:We love it! It's just hard, because every time you pass through the gift shop, the kids want to buy something or everything! HA! This trip, they used their Easter money to buy their stuff. Well, I can't blame them, Iwant to buy too! Mainly the snacks! I mean, how can you pass up these:MMMM!!!

Dinner dates

Tuesday night, we had dinner at It was a late dinner, but look what wonderful dates we had!
The kids' Great Grandpa had some appointments in Medical Center, in Houston, and he was accompanied by the kids' Great Aunts: Sally, Linda, and Rachel, and great cousin Penelope!
We were more than happy to get to take them out and then run them by our new house so they could see it.

Easter 2010

What a great day it was!
Our first Easter in our new house!
Carli woke up to see what the Easter Bunny brought her. We got dressed and headed to church, then out to eat at Casa Ole'. We came home and Carli hunted for eggs. It's so nice to have one child still interested in all things bunny! We just hung out the rest of the day.
Hope you had a blessed filled Easter!

Homes

With all this packing/unpacking, I've been getting side tracked with looking at pictures! I love looking back at the past 16 years! We've come a long way! So in honor of our new house, I thought I'd take a little stroll down memory lane and look at where we've lived. Our homes.
This was the very first placed we lived as man and wife, and first time parents. It was a teeny tiny little duplex. Two bedrooms, one bath, stack able washer/dryer, two burner stove, and barely room for a two person kitchen table. We sure loved it though! So sweet! Oh and side note, for those of you who remember Anthony's HUGE green car...there's the hood of it in the picture. HA!
Then, when Austin was one, we moved to this cute little townhouse. It was two story. But soon it was time to move on...
This is a picture of our very first home! Well, the precious little courtyard in the front of the house. It was always hard to get a good picture taken of the front of the house, due to the landscaping and courtyard. That's fine though, because many a picture was taken in this area. This house was a huge deal for us...very special! We lived there for six years. We moved in when Austin was just two years old, we then brought Tyler home from the hospital there. The boys were eight and four years old when we moved from there to here:This is our second home. The one we just sold. It was also a huge deal for us because this was a whole new world. We had moved from our hometown (we had never lived anywhere else) to the big city for Anthony's new job. We were in a town where we knew no one! We bought this house when it was just the ground, not even foundation was poured yet. We also brought Carli home from the hospital here. Seven years later, the kids are fifteen, eleven, and three years old. ALSO, exactly SEVEN years TO THE DAY, from when we closed on this house and moved in, we got an offer on it, from the SEVENTH showing! I thought that was kind of neat. Yes, we will miss this house! Just as special as the first. Will miss our neighbors and the quiet little neighborhood too!
NOW...here is our new house! (it has a detached garage toward the back of the house that you can't see in this picture) WE LOVE IT!!! We are all SUPER EXCITED to start the next chapter of our life in this new house! I've been working hard at getting the house all situated and picture ready! It's not complete yet, but I will start posting pictures this week!
