National Dance Week

This week was National Dance Week. My good friend who owns a dance studio (Tyler actually took dance from her when he was four) had a "Bring a friend to dance" day. Carli was invited to go with Conlee (another good friend of mine's, six year old daughter.) I sure didn't think Carli would want to go. She surprised me and said yes! She had her outfit planned as soon as she woke up that morning! Then that evening, when class started, she walked right in with Conlee and then saw Camden, as well as a room full of little girls and had no problem what so ever! She didn't dance, but did everything else. She wasn't shy at all! I was so proud of her! She even said she'd go back to do it again! My little girl, in MY dance leotard from when I was little!

Softball

Last week, we went to see Gabby and Rachel play softball.It was cute and so was their cheer:

We don't play with barbie dolls
we just play with bats and balls
we dont wear no mini skirt
we just wear pants and t-shirts
we dont drink no lemonade
we just drink our powerade!

Pre-K Easter

Carli had her Pre-K Easter last week. She took her teacher and class gifts. Um, yeah...no pics of Carli. Sometimes she just does not want to have her picture taken. :)

Weekend Ramblings-Easter 2011

Saturday afternoon we dyed our eggs... Saturday night, Carli went to stay at her cousins' (Rachel, Gabby, and Philip) house. Thank you Melissa! Then, Tyler, Austin, Anthony, Mimi, and I went to church to see their Easter Pageant. It was truly spectacular! We then went out to eat dinner.
The kids headed off to bed while I worked on baskets. Easter baskets in the making. I didn't get a picture of the finished products :(

Easter morning came and Carli hunted her eggs and then they all checked out their loot.
Once that was done, we hurried to get ready for church.Church was of course wonderful!

We then came home, changed clothes and got busy getting ready for our best friends to come over!As you can clearly see, NONE of the boys wanted their pictures taken! Oh, and Carli too! That's why she's not in any of these next ones. UGH!!!!We're missing our Emily. She was out of town with her best friend.There was lot of eating! Egg hunting (all the eggs had money inside)! Video games. One mean game of kick ball! And us mommas laughed, laughed, laughed, and relaxed! We even joked that it was Mother's Day. If I had a dollar for every time/day a ball went over that wall I'd be a rich woman!Deyanira and I not too happy with the pictures Bart took of us! MEN! Finally, he listened and took a good one!

We couldn't have asked for a more glorious Easter!

I absolutely LOVE my blog! I don't write it for anyone other than my children, husband, and myself, to document the journey of our family. I do like it that it also helps me share our happenings with our family and friends! That you can just pop in at anytime to see what we're up to. But, because it IS in the world wide web, I choose not to share too much, ya know? At one point, I thought, "What will happen if there is no more blog land? What will happen to my blog?" Sure, I save every single picture I take on CDs and there are SO many (some don't even make the blog), but this is my journal/scrapbook! Well, then I discovered the most AMAZING, quickest, easiest thing ever!! THIS website is now my favorite EVER! It has totally solved my questions about saving my blog! I have now PUBLISHED our blog! YAY! I'm doing it by year, so this is the first one I did, 2008! Wow, I can not believe I've been blogging since then! I did 2009 and 2010 and saved them, I haven't ordered them yet. And course when this year is over, 2011. The quality is wonderful (hard to tell by pictures)! It's hardback, there's an introduction, table of contents, great looking pictures, and not terribly expensive! Absolutely worth it! I'm beyond impressed with it! I squealed pretty loud when I got it! I LOVE IT!

Weekend Ramblings

What a weekend! I saw lots of family and friends for our Spring Fling Open House! It was wonderful seeing everyone! We were of course excited to see Rose and Rachael and couldn't wait for them to get here! See...I loved planning the open house! I think it turned out pretty well! We had a good steady flow of customers. I didn't get any good pictures. I was too busy eating and socializing! I'm very bummed that I didn't get a picture of all of us hostesses, especially since I've been friends with Molly since childhood, Francine for twelve years, and Rose for seven years. Be still my heart

How is it that the time has come for me to register this sweet baby girl for kindergarten?!Well, it has and it totally snuck up on me! Last week I took her, my last lil' baby to register for kindergarten. At the elementary school I attended. My goodness! *SIGH* Be still my heart!

Birthday Dinner

Last Tuesday, we went over to Aunt Linda's house for cousin Kathy's yummy birthday enchilada dinner and cupcakes made by her sissy, Penelope. It was great! The Birthday girl, Miss 20 year old, Kathy!
