Week & Weekend Ramblings

It's been a week since I blogged.
Not much has gone on.
Not even one picture of any of my kids...bad mom! Ha!
There's been alot of being lazy...it is summer after all!
We did all get hair cuts.
Austin spent the night with Grandma.
Deyanira and Emily came over Wednesday night.
Melissa and the kiddos came over Thursday night.
Anthony was gone all week and returned Friday night. YAY for Friday!!! I told the kids that if they were good all week while dad was gone, that when he got home, we would all get snow cones from the BEST stand in town (since I was little and still is!). I was so happy they were good because I sure wanted one! I have to say that I got blue coconut, which is always my snow cone fave, but next time, I'm getting what Tyler got...RED VELVET! A RED VELVET SNOW CONE! I couldn't believe it! It was so delish!
Saturday night, Ant and I went on a much, much, needed date! We NEVER get time together!Thankfully my cutie, Rachael (Rose's daughter) lives here, so she came to watch the kids. She said they were great and of course they love her! So we'll be asking her more often!
So, onto our date...Which by the way, I didn't even get a picture of us! I did have the camera sitting out to remind me, but you can see how that went.
We went out for dinner and drinks. Then rode around our ol' hometown.
And we ended the evening with ice cream! It doesn't seem like a big time date, but we're simple people and it was perfect for us! Just being together, laughing, and getting to have an uninterrupted conversation is all we need!
It was a nice week and weekend!

Weekend Ramblings

Our "Weekend Ramblings" post starts off our SUMMER BREAK! I don't really have any pictures though.
The boys got out of school on May 20th and Carli got out of school on May 26th. The kids so far have stayed up late, woke up late, and ate everything in the house. There's been lots of outside time. Dinners have been eaten outside as well(and this momma has had a sangria or two)

Memorial Day weekend Grandma and Uncle Chris came over and watched a movie. We also went out to lunch with Mimi.

This week we will be missin' dad as he will be out of town for work.
It's hot outside, the kids did get out for summer break earlier than I'm use to, but I am ready to be out of a routine for a little while. Gonna enjoy the laziness of summer time!

19 years

It's 19 years ago today that my mommy went to heaven... I sure miss her!
I'm feeling it a little more so right now. I think because two weeks ago, my friend Joni's mother went to heaven. I know everything she's going through and I hate it! I wish this pain on no one. It's just plain hard to not have a mommy, no matter what age you are when you lose her. Joni's mom, Sherri.

Pre-K Graduate!

Yesterday Miss Carli graduated Pre-K!Teacher gift: flowers and gift card. Class gifts: bubbles.Carli's flowers from us, her diploma, medal, and tassel.YES, they wore a blue cap and gown. NO, I didn't get a picture. SOMEBODY was not cooperating! Waaaahh :(Mrs. Judy, her teacher. We sure love her! She was perfect for Carli!What a sweet, well behaved bunch of cuties! They always have so much fun! They welcomed Carli into their class like she had always been there. She played with everyone, mostly the boys. I love that my girl can be girly, but play with the boys too. She is use to it afterall with having Austin and Tyler. Oh, and her best buddy is Benjamin! Carli always ran in and out of class each week with a big smile! She enjoyed it so much and really blossomed these past six months!I can not believe she's done with pre-school! I will definitely miss those precious little days, but for everything there's a season. It's time for SUMMER and then kindergarten will be here before we know it!

Happy Birthday Aunt Cuca! We love you! I have several pictures of you, but when I came across this one, I HAD to use this one! It's from my baby shower when I was pregnant with Austin! 1994! We were playing the toilet paper game and you won! This won't surprise you, but I saved that winning toilet paper in Austin's baby book! Ha!

Weekend Ramblings

I uploaded my pictures onto this post backwards. So, let's start this "Weekend Ramblings" post with Sunday.
Sunday, Carli and I went with friends, Julie and her daughter Paige to a dance recital. It was my friend Gentri's Dance Studio's 10th Anniversary! I can't believe she's had it for that long! Tyler was her first boy that took from her! It was a great recital!

Saturday was birthdays at the park! Our cousins Gabby and Fabian!Miss. Gabby, now 8!Mr. Fabian, now 10! Had to get a picture of the bow holder we got Gabby! Gotta love the website, Pixie & Ivie!

She's 5! and Tyler's Trip

As you may notice, we like to spend a few days celebrating our kiddos' birthdays! Why shouldn't we?!
Carli woke up on her birthday ready to shop! She had gift cards and she knew exactly what she wanted! She bought the "Cut & Style Barbie" and the Lemonade Mouth soundtrack. We met daddy for lunch at an old school friend of ours restaurant (mmm, best rolls and chicken fried steak!). After lunch, she got her beloved vanilla ice cream! For dinner, she picked Chuck*E*Cheese!It melts my heart when I see her with her "guys"!
We were very thrilled Tyler was with us! He was MIA for her party because he went for the day to Houston to Splash*Town with his school choir. this was his first time to do a school event out of town WITH OUT either Anthony or I. I was such a nervous momma and could not wait for him to get home! He did wonderfully and had the best time! He came back that night happy, tired, and dark!She loves it there as well as her brothers. She had a fantastic few days celebrating and I can not believe she is 5!

Carli's 5th Birthday Party

This may be the longest post in history...but who cares! It's my baby girl's 5th Birthday Party (and my bff used my camera and took 162 pictures of the party, so it was hard to pick a small amount of pictures! ha!)

Carli LOVES BUTTERFLIES! So, that's exactly what we did for her party and boy was it fun! In case you can't read the invitation, it says:
We're having a party and you're invited

Carli is celebrating her 5th year and May 14th is soon near.
I was delighted when she said she wanted to dress as a butterfly for her party! So who better to get her outfit from, than ROSE! Rose brought her the tulle and asked her to pick the colors she wanted. Of course she chose purple and pink! Isn't it adorable! Click on Rose's name to visit her website! We didn't get a single picture of her with her complete outfit on (crazy, I know) She was just running around so much that it was hard to get her to pose.
Now, to the decorations...Even our Scentsy Buddy, Penny the Pig had wings! Thanks to Rose!
The boys got bug kits and the girls got butterfly wings.We had pizza, chips, capri suns, ice cream and cupcakes!At one point there were butterflies on all of the cup cakes...not sure where they went too? :)Birthday girl decided she needed to eat inside!Now the guests, or some of them...Pinata time!This is what happens when people use your camera! Ha!Deyanira, You helped me so much this day, even though I told you I didn't need it. I couldn't have done it with out you! THANK YOU!My precious Emme!
