Choir Banquet/ First Date

Tyler had his high school choir banquet AND his first date on June 1st.

It was so exciting!

Big milestone here!

This occasion required good pictures! Good pictures I couldn't get with my cell phone.

So I asked my friend Wendy (THANK YOU WENDY!) to come take some and I'm glad she did!

You can tell the ones I took vs. her pictures.

My friend Samantha (THANK YOU SAMANTHA!) came over to stay with Austin and Carli, while Anthony and I

took Tyler to pick up his date and then drop them off at the banquet.

He took his friend Courtney. She's also in the same grade and is in choir as well.

Before we left, we took some pictures in her neighborhood.

It was so windy and really hot!



We drove into Houston, where the banquet was being held.

We dropped them off at 6pm and Anthony went back to pick them up at 11:30 pm.

I grabbed the next two pictures below from a friend that was there.

They had a photo booth and by the looks of it, I think they had fun!

 

There were also awards given out that all of the choir students had voted

on earlier in the week.

Tyler was voted

"Class Favorite Freshman Guy"

So cool!

They had a wonderful time!

Great way to end the over the top year choir had!

 

 

 

Workin' Man

He just keeps makin' us proud!

He decided on his own to apply for a job!

He did it, THEN told us!

He works a few days a week and is really liking it!

He likes that money too and even got a checking account!

What do ya expect with a bank manager as a dad!

1st Grade Awards & End of the year party

They had dress code release the last day of school and she was so happy!

She came home to a little goody bag.

My kids always get a little goody bag on the last day of school from us.

She had a fun last day.

She does miss her friends and said she's not sure if she wants to go to second grade.

 

 

Tyler's last DAYS of school

Well, he's done with his freshman year in high school and is now officially a sophomore!

Man, he had an awesome first year!

That last week of school was pretty busy.

Below, the first and last day of school pics.

Leaving at 6:30 am to catch the bus, to go to school and take finals and

 picture taking do not go hand in hand!

Tyler had some pretty good teachers this year.

One of his favorites, gave each student a little card.

Our school board had a "World Class Reception" where they honored many students for their world class performances. What an honor for the cast of South Pacific to be invited!

A good thing about being short, you're always in front in group photos!

 This was the award that each person received.

This was the book that the choir director had made for every cast member. It's beautiful! You should see it in person!

THEN, on June 9th, ABC 13 Houston, broad casted the TOMMY TUNE AWARDS!

The cast had a viewing party.

It was so neat to watch it on TV after watching it in person!

Also, it was exciting to see my baby perform on TV!

 

 



Austin's Last day of school!

Austin LOVES school!

They have so much fun!

The day before school got out, they had a picnic with some of the junior high special ed classes.

It was nice, he not only got to eat hamburgers and hotdogs, play on the playground at the park, but he got to see his two favorite teachers who taught him in junior high!

Then, the last day, they had a class party.

He came home with so many party favors, including LOTS of candy!

He already misses school.

But Lord knows his body needs the rest!
