Preschool Fall Fest

At Carli's pre-school on Wednesday, they needed to bring a pumpkin, decorated as a storybook character. Well of course she chose MINNIE MOUSE!She loved her Minnie!Friday, was her fall fest. She was super excited!
She's really into taking pictures lately...it's insane! She couldn't wait to take her class their pumpkin ball treats! She had to get a picture with her FAVE, Ms.Rose! FYI, Ms.Rose made her bow! Several actually! But how perfect is that bow with that shirt!Loved it that her friend Rylee wore the same skirt! No, they didn't plan it! Oh they're so cute!! Carli's Minnie won "The sweetest!" award! And LOOK...A MICKEY MOUSE! Would you believe it belonged to...BRADY!?! OH YES IT DID! NOPE, that wasn't planned either! SO TRUE! Everyone about died over the fact that they both showed up with Mickey and Minnie! How AWESOME!! LOVE IT!

Happy Birthday Miranda!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET DEAR FRIEND MIRANDA! Love ya girlie!Gotta love having a scanner! I have lots of great old pictures of Miranda and I. We've known each other for seven years, I think. We taught two years together. I scanned a favorite...She was one of the awesome girls that threw my baby shower when I was pregnant with Carli.

Babysittin'

I so enjoy babysittin'! The other day I kept Julia. She reminds me of her big sister Olivia and a little bit of Carli.I thought this was so funny...our tv is over the fireplace and she would stop to watch tv like this. She would try so hard to get "close" to the tv, even stepping up onto the fireplace, but of course that wouldn't work and she'd fall on her bottom. Carli loved having her here and kept asking me, "Did I do that when I was a baby?" and "will you take a picture of us?"
Well, I did try to take their picture...You can see how that went! Ha!
Lindsay, I'll say it again, she did wonderfully!

Carli's very first field trip!

Carli had her very first school field trip! She's been talking about it forever and was super excited! These lil' pre-k kiddos hopped on a big school bus and headed into Houston to see:The musical was great for them! They all enjoyed it and riding the bus! I enjoyed getting to go too! AND since I work at her school, I was able to ride on the bus with them! Such a fun day!Carli and Rylee ready to go!Um, yes, that would be BRAAADY! They just HAD to sit together! We had a goofy time on the bus!Brady, Ms.Susan, and Carli. I have one of you Ms. Mary, but maybe we shouldn't post it! We'll let Ms.Lisa post that one! Ha!And this was Carli running, trying to catch Brady on the playground at school. It was taken from inside my classroom! LOVE IT!
I am so thankful that I was able to go with Carli on her very first field trip! What a terrific time!

BIG CHANGES! BIG!

I figured this picture was appropriate for the type of change we're talking about here.A road sign.
Meaning, we're moving!
MOVING!
MOVING!!!!!
Back to our hometown!
*big sigh* *big gulp*
In one week, Anthony will be back in our hometown, with his previous bank, as a branch manager. He will stay there a few days during the week and come home on weekends, or something like that. The kids and I will stay here until our house sells (best case scenario, we can finish out the school year-we don't know when we're putting it up for sale yet?). I have all sorts of emotions swimming around in my head! First and foremost, I'm proud of my hubby! I can't type the rest them all out here now...I need to just pray. PRAY for me to stay in the moment and not think too far ahead, stay calm and just relax. Take it step by step.
I'll keep you updated!
I also have many posts to put on the blog, so sit tight, stories and pics coming soon!

Our weekend

We were in Bryan this past weekend. It was a bit busy and I didn't take but three pictures! I'm getting bad about taking pictures! The ones I did take were of Carli and her cousins, Rachel and Philip. She has such a fun time playing with them. She got a sweet necklace from them and from her other cousin Arlyssa, some clothes and books! THANK YOU COUSINS! The other picture I took was of our cousin Joel, his date, and their friends. They were on their way to homecoming.

Passing by

Like I've said a billion times before, I love working at Carli's school! It's so fun to see her in her classroom, playing outside,or just passing by! This particular day, they were walking to see the firetruck!
(and yes, I had my camera...we had just gotten through taking our class to see the firetruck too!)

BOO-ed!

I loved that in the past seven years, during Halloween season, we've been BOO-ed! It is so much fun! I almost started it this month in our new neighborhood, but wasn't sure if anyone would. WELL, to my surprise, we got BOO-ed Monday! I immediately put our sign in the window and the kids tore threw the bag of goodies!I then ran off to the store and gathered our goodies to BOO other neighbors! I was super excited!
I put the BOO directions and sign, Halloween crafts, glow bracelets, spider rings, my FAVE m&m's, all in these cute lil' buckets and tied with a bow of course! I quickly dropped off the BOO buckets at two neighbors! Their signs are now displayed on their windows! It's REALLY FUN! You should do this in your neighborhood too, if you don't already!

Austin update

Well, if you're friends with me on Face*Book or I called you then you already know, but if not, then let me update ya on here...
Austin did not have his surgery today! There was a misunderstanding on directions and (while I was in my room getting ready to leave) dad let Austin eat a little breakfast. He was not suppose to eat after midnight and not have liquid (not even water) after 7:45am. Since he ate,we would have to wait six hours after he ate to do the surgery (due to anesthesia). There were no other openings this afternoon available. In fact, the next available surgery date is NOVEMBER 3rd! We will be doing it then!
Thank you so very much to everyone for your prayers, we truly appreciate them! I'll be asking you again for more prayers on November 3rd! :) OH, and while we're talking about prayers, I know some of you were praying for me to have calm nerves/peace. I was very calm today, even after Anthony fed Austin, driving into Houston to the hospital, and finding out he couldn't have the surgery! Thank you again!

A little bummed not to have had surgery today, but like my boss just said, "now we can get in a few extra prayers for good surgery and quick recovery!" Perfectly said Carol!

Happy Birthday Harrison!

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY SWEET, HANDSOME BOY!
Carli can not wait to play again real soon! We love you!

Tomorrow is Surgery Day

Austin's surgery is tomorrow and I ask that you say a couple of prayers. I know that the removal of tonsils and adenoids are completely routine. BUT, it's still surgery, it's Austin and he has seizures. I'm praying his recovery is not too rough on him. That the surgery won't trigger any seizures and that he won't loose too much weight (it's hard for him to gain). I have been working on not being anxious, worried, or full of "what if's". I've heard tonsil stories from one end of the spectrum to the other. Good to bad. Which has actually helped me. I like to be really prepared, or as prepared as possible. So I'm saying a little prayer for me to have calm nerves! "Let go and let God"!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS!
And, this is one of the Bible verses I say daily. It's even framed in my house:
Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Philippians 4:6
I will post soon and let you know how he's doing.

Girls' weekend!

Right now, I am in good ol' Bryan! I came yesterday. My bestie, Claire and I are having a girls' weekend! Let me tell you, I SO need it too! She is two years older than me and is having her class reunion...hold on, let me clarify that...her 20th year class reunion! I can't believe it! Anthony's is next year and mine is in two! WOO...when in the world did we get that old? Anyway, she lives out of state and we just thought it would be so much more fun to go to her reunion together. Even though our awesome high school was very large, we all still knew everybody! We all hung out with other grade levels. So I'm seeing peeps I know too! I can't wait to do a post about this weekend! Oh BOY! F-U-N! WOW, to be in high school again! This was Claire and I when she was 18 and I was 16! Go 1990! Ha!
GO VIKES! Well, I will post soon!
