I believe this is going to be a great year for the boys! I feel it in my bones! Now, I know it's only been four days, and they don't spring out of bed like they did on the first morning, but I can tell they are really liking it! That first day of school, at dinner time, they talked our ears off!

The above picture is from yesterday's practice. I have no idea where in that group Tyler is? Even though there were several groups out there, I did know he was in red and with the smaller guys, so he's in there somewhere. I just had to grab a picture! I have to tell you it's so weird seeing him out there! Anthony and I remember when we moved here over seven years ago and passing this school. It was across the street from our then neighborhood. It was just finished being built and when the school year started, we would see a sea of red and black shirts out there practicing football. We could have never fathomed one of our own little boys being that old to be out there! Sure enough, our baby boy is!
This year is a whole new ball game for Tyler, no pun intended. Ha!
Junior High, 7 teachers, 4 of them are men, two of those are his coaches. His classes are all over the school. He has a friend (or few) in every class (or a few classes). My friend's sister is one of his teachers and that class, along with his locker, is across the hall from Austin's Life Skills Class. He stays after school until 5:45pm for football practice. See, so far, so good!

Austin is glad to be back with his same class. He was needing that routine too. He has jobs at school, so he is enjoying starting those back too. One day I'm going to do a post about all of the things he does at school. I love the special education program and his teachers! Yesterday afternoon, his teacher told me that he is really impressed with Austin. He went on and on about the differences in him. "He came back a completely different kid". "Like he's grown mentally". No behavior problems, does more things. So far his back to school assessments have proven that he didn't regress too much over the summer. And his response time isn't near as long as it was before. He told Austin to keep it up and he'll be on his way to the high school!

When they came home from school on the first day, they had cupcakes waiting! Carli was so excited while she was helping me make them. She couldn't wait to give them to her "guys"!

Carli misses them so much while they're at school. She does a lot of this-building!
And I wanted to throw this is in....

The other week, Anthony's little cousins, Joel and Jestin, came to stay three nights. I think they had fun! I wanted so badly to re-create this photo below, but I think they thought they were too grown!:)
